Our Founder
Archbishop Dr. Michael Layne was called to ministry in his teenage years, and has endeavored in that calling since 1969. He has served as musician, radio personality, pastor, and now serves as Archbishop of the Archdiocese of the Mid-West in the Evangelical Orthodox Catholic Church in America. He founded FaithPoints For Living Church, Inc., as an ecumenical outreach.
The Role of Music in Worship
Music has been used in religious worship for thousands of years. It can evoke powerful emotions, create a sense of community and help connect worshippers to the divine. Different faiths have their own styles of music and instruments, but all recognize the importance of music in spiritual practice. Thus we provide great music in both our TV and Radio channels. Dr. Layne is an accomplished Gospel musician playing Organ, Piano, and Guitar.
